Any mumsnetters going to Mull this year?

We are going to be there 21-28 July: I can't wait!

We planned an earlier trip to hopefully see the baby Eagles in the eyrie before they fledge. But unfortunately the pair with the nest with the camera (on Loch Frisa) have failed to raise chicks for the first time in ages this year.

Scroll down this page for the blog with the story when the tragedy was discovered: but be warned it's very traumatic, so don't read it if you're of a sensitive disposition.

Is no-one else going this year?

We were in Assynt, Sutherland last week. Saw baby herons and owls on cameras in the Visitor Centre in Lochinver.

The kids were more interested in playing with the map showing the difference in the landscape from the ice age to today - it had little lights in it marking different places. Much more fun than birds, apparently!

Aww baby herons!

No-one else going to Mull this summer? There were loads of mumsnetters last year.
