someone out there must know a perfect gem of a place ideal for this. somewhere i can park up right on or next to the beach would be the ideal... no other facilities neccessary really as we'd have the loo/oven/beds/telly for hottest part of day etc all on board.

nearest bit of coast to us is southampton really, but can drive, i dunno, an hour away?? a bit further? we sometimes go to Mudeford Quay or bournemouth... but i dont know of any good spots for parking up the 'van.

any ideas?? much appreciated!

you can park by the beach at exmouth but thats a bit more than an hours drive.

can park pretty close at studland bay (i think) or maybe weymouth?

If you go to Boscombe, at the east end of Bournemouth you can drive onto the prom and park right behind the beach, but on a busy day you'd need to get there early. That probably goes without saying .

Burton Bradstock in Dorset, a cute beach with carpark and nice cafe.

There's a car park at Avon Beach at Mudeford, as well as the one at the quay.
