Crealy Park for 11 year old? Too babyish? What else in the area?

We are staying between Honiton and Exeter and obviously Crealy is really close. But will it be too young for an 11 year old? I see Diggerland is also very near but that really isn't up our street.
We are thinking about Wildwood Escot, Paignton Zoo, a day in Exeter, Powderham Castle.

Is Exmouth beach the best bet for sand, I see it is 2 miles long but reviews suggest it be heaving (or is it just that most people can't be arsed to walk further down!)

The children in my family range from 3-14 and they all enjoy crealy so much we have annual passes. An 11 year old would probably have a great day there.

Another option if you are driving and don't mind going a little further afield is Woodlands adventure park.

Exmouth is definitely your best bet for sand in the immediate area. It's a busy beach but it does tend to be the areas closest to the parking that are heaving. If you walk a bit further there is often large areas of space.

The Bear Trail is nearby and is great fun for energetic kids who like to get muddy! www.thebeartrail.co.uk

Don’t write off Diggerland op!
We took the DC there a few years ago, not expecting to like it much, and they had an awesome time!
We’ve since been back twice and each time they love it!
It’s very hands on and has always been surprisingly quiet (compared to other theme parks) even in the school holidays. I think the longest queue we waited in was only 15 mins and a lot of the attractions we walked on within a couple of minutes.
They loved the fact they could actually do it themselves (drive digger trucks, go karts etc) it’s very interactive.

We went to Crealy and thought it was pretty suitable for an 11 year old. I thought the place was impressively clean. We validated our ticket for the free return but DC wasn't interested enough to want to go back.
