Somewhere a bit luxurious - can be modern or country house style - lots of pampering, HAS to have GREAT food

Manoir

Whoooosh · 02/06/2007 23:06

Pennyhill PArk-if I hadn't had so much to drink I could try a link for you but the spa is fantastic and food in "posh" restaurant excellent.
Failing that,if budget not a consideration-Le Manoir...

Cliveden
The Grove

CountessDracula · 02/06/2007 23:12

agree with Le Manoir

Chilston Manor in Kent. Is truly fab. Apparently it was where Paula Yates and Michael Hutchence started their affair.

Have been there for a friend's wedding and it was very sumptuous.

Hotel du Vin or Drakes in Brighton

CountessDracula · 05/06/2007 08:32

Drakes is v nice

Tutter · 05/06/2007 08:34

budget?

franch · 05/06/2007 13:08

Don't know really tutter - manoir might be slightly outside it, but cliveden etc would be ok - we might stretch a bit for somewhere amazing

Is North Norfolk too far?

franch · 05/06/2007 13:19

Mm, yes, umbilical cord probably doesn't stretch that far

How about Chewton Glen in Hampshire - amazing service, lovely setting and Michelin star restaurant.
