Hi, we are staying in Salcombe and we have a 11 yr old dd. Can anyone recommend things to do or see either in Salcombe or the surrounding area please?
Also, any nice place to eat (cafes or restaurants)?
Thanks v much.

Do an exciting rib ride or banana boat ride with Sea N Shore. They also do good wildlife boat tours.
Woodlands Family Theme Park has a wide variety of things to do. It's a really good day out.
Have a cream tea at South Sands Hotel.
If the weather is less than perfect, head to Paper Bird Island on Island Street. There is a range of creative activities for kids (they even hold evening sessions for adults!). They stock a selection of paper mache boxes and animal shapes that can be decorated with paints, ribbons, gems and patterned papers.
Go to the Crab Shed for a whole crab and chips.
Brewery tours of Salcombe Brewery Co take place every Thursday during the high season.
If you’re planning on exploring the South West Coast Path, or are simply heading to the beach for the day, visit the Salcombe Delicatessen and stock up on snacks to keep you going. They have a good range of pre-made sandwiches and pasties.
A river cruiser service operates between Kingsbridge & Salcombe during the summer season.
Go crabbing from the wall of Victoria Quay.

Thanks so much Rice. That’s really helpful. We’ve visited Paper, Bird Island which my dd loved!
