One night house rental by the sea?

Is this possible? I just want to go away for the weekend with our toddler to be by the sea. I'm looking online and they are all booked up or you have to stay longer?

You’ll be lucky to get a short stay like that during peak season. A lot of places have a minimum three night stay all year round.

Maybe a hotel/b&b/Travelodge would be ok?

Might have to be but we would all be stuck in the room all evening when the baby sleeps.

Air b n b?

Or maybe a suite at a hotel.

Problem is they have to clean the place and change the sheets all for one night! Try Airbnb?

Do try air b and b. Put in lots of different combinations of dates.

You might find something for 2 nights for example and only stay for one. You could leave late, rather than check out at 10am as you have paid for 2 nights.

You could stay in mine for one night, but I'd charge you for three. What about a room in a pub? You could take the baby monitor down to the bar.

Plus if you pay for one night you’d probably not be allowed in the property til 3pm and you’d have to be out by 10am so less than 24hrs.

Lots of places do one night, but it's peak season and it would only be a space filler between other bookings.

It's Pride weekend in Brighton too so no hope there!

loveka · 03/08/2018 08:31

Paying for 2 nights will get you the whole of the following day there.

Caravan park friday to monday !

Airbnb is perfect for this though as pp have said, only staying one night will limit your options. Try putting in the date you want but also trying two night stays. By the time you've paid the flat rate cleaning fee it's better value for money to stay for two nights anyway.

I did this last summer and doing it again next week with my 5 and 2 year old, it's lovely to have a change of scene and nice to be able to relax at the seaside without having the drive home to think about.

Thanks. I didn't know Airbnb was good for this
