Going on a 4 night caravan holiday sooon. Never been before and i hoping someone has some hints and tips. Its a park dean site.

Looking for ideas on places to visit, good eateries, and any general suggestions..

Mabie Farm Park and Dalscone Farm are both good.
Cream O Galloway ice cream factory - see how ice cream and cheese are made on the farm. You can do farm tours, ice cream tasting, cheese tasting and the play areas are excellent. Combine this with a trip to the Cocoa Bean Factory, which is nearby.
Galloway wildlife park used to be in this area but has recently closed so ignore any signs or leaflets you see for it!

I forgot to say that Powillimount Beach is good. It's small but sandy and there are rocks to climb and rockpools to explore. There's a carpark but nothing else.

Avoid Dumfries at all costs
Horrible town with very little offer in terms of aesthetic or services.
