Rhossili Bay holiday

Hi everyone, just after some advice, we are planning a camping trip to Rhossili Bay in the Gower area of Wales. Never been before but the beach looks stunning and we're hoping to camp nearby. However I am slightly worried that in the unlikely event of rain (WinkGrin) we'll be stuck with nothing to do. We don't mind dodging showers and will bodyboard in the rain, but I am after other ideas of activities nearby for wet weather. Are there any? We don't mind an hour or so drive.
Thanks

There is plenty to do. Go to the LC in Swansea, visit Swansea itself. If you have children Folly farm is probably around an hour from there and is perfectly good in the rain.
The LC is a pool with slides, wave machines etc. Its a fantastic camp site Hillend. You'll have a fab time.

Oh thank you so much! Yes, Hillend that's the campsite, you can't book so we're hoping to be lucky and find a spot! Really appreciate the info.

Swansea also has the Waterfront museum which is fine to spend an hour. Also, if you head back towards Cardiff (about 40 mins on the M4) there is lots to do.

With Hillend, as last my as you go mid week you should be fine.

That's good to know, we were thinking of going on a Tuesday, and staying for as long as the weather is kind. Some good ideas, thanks. Will look then all up.

That should say 'as long as'. We went last Wednesday and that's what the man at reception said to us. Have a lovely time.

Walk over the dunes to Bluepool and bluepool bay. Walk the Worm at low tide. Lunch in the kings head, llangennith.

Rock scrambling at Mewslade beach ( low tide).

Mumbles - ice cream at Joe’s, chips on the pier plus the amusement arcarde and the lifeboat station. Lots of nice restaurants and shops.

Have a great time, I am lucky enough to live in Swansea And have this on my doorstep.

Sorry just rttt re wet weather. Agree re folly farm, LC2 and the waterfront museum. LC2 also has a decent soft play and climbing wall. I believe the weather is set to improve on Tuesday though.

Oh thank you @lots33 just seen your reply. Great ideas. We're happy to walk/rockpool in the drizzle too! Maybe we'll pop in to yours for a cup of tea if it really chucks it downWinkGrin Lucky you living in such a wonderful area.
