Family stays near Bath

I just wondered if any of you had any recommendations. A bit of a last minute jaunt to meet up with an old friend she will be based in a village south of Bath. We have a car so can drive to meet her but we're just wanting recommendations of a nice family hotel/lodgings/etc in the general area. That is near to attractions etc. We are planning to go for 3 nights next week. Eep. I have not traveled a lot in this area and any help you can give would be so gratefully received!

Try Wheelbrook Mill www.wheelbrookmill.co.uk as I know they have a good family suite and a garden where the kids can play.
It's about 10 miles from Longleat safari park and 45 minutes from Stonehenge.

Woolley Grange is a super-child-friendly hotel in Bradford on Avon.

At the other end of the scale, the YHA in Bath (on a bus route) is considerably cheaper with a self catering option.

At short notice, in school hols, you might just have to rely on the major booking engines. Bath Uni might have some good deals for self catering?
