4 Bed Executive Lodge at Center Parcs - What to take?

Not sure what the facilities are like in these lodges - is there enough fridge space to take food for 7 people for 4 nights? Do they have things like teatowels, oven gloves etc? We don't really want to eat out much but don't want to turn up with too much food and I've heard Center Parcs make it harder for you to eat in every night by now giving much in the way of kitchen equipment (not sure if this is the case in these lodges though!).

I've only stayed in 2 bed normal lodge but it was well equipped with enough cooking equipment. Take extra dishwasher tablets though - they only provide a few.

Not stayed in this particular lodge but most I have stayed in have plenty of cooking utensils to cook basic mealS etc. I would take an extra couple of tea towels as you only get one flimsy one and definitely take extra dishwasher tablets.

And when I have stayed in a 4 bedroom lodge there was plenty of room in the fridge. Have fun!

Coffee pods for the coffee machine. Fridge was massive, iirc also a wine fridge! I never cook but seem to remember the kitchen seemed well stocked. There were oven gloves and a tea towel. Also a dishwasher......and a daily maid service!

Plenty of cooking equipment but only a small under counter fridge so you'd struggle to get enough food in it for 4 people for 7 days.

You can leave the site and pop to a supermarket.

Take tea towels and dishwasher tabs. They don't provide enough.

This might be specific to the European Centre Parcs but we’ve never had one with washing up liquid even in the most expensive accommodation with the “kitchen package”.

A big saucepan! Stayed at longleat last year and they just had average size saucepans. To cook enough pasta for 8 I had to use 3 saucepans! We had two under the counter fridges and a wine fridge iirc.

I know what people mean about Land's End but a lot kids will enjoy some of the stuff that's there even if adults occasionally have to grit their teeth.
If you're looking for something a bit historical Geevor Tin Mine is nearby, one of the last to close in Cornwall. Has a nice cafe overlooking the sea as well.
Pendeen lighthouse is also nearby (check visiting times) on a bit of the coast where you can occasionally see basking sharks.
Sennen is a nice beach but just be aware of strong currents on one or two parts of it.
There are some lovely pubs in that area doing great food. Can't remember the names so maybe check TripAdvisor. Think there were a couple of good ones in St Just.
If you are in Penzance you have to visit Jelberts ice cream shop in Newlyn. It's legendary in the area. Make sure you have the one with a dollop of clotted cream.

I stayed in a 4 bed executive lodge in March and there is more than enough room! We had 2 fridges and a freezer and there are loads of cupboards!

Apologies for the Cornwall post. Not sure how that ended on this topic. Brainstorm.

We took a slow cooker and did some gammon in it, saves spending ages cooking!
Also we booked to go to the Indian restaurant, if you have the special set menu it works out at £25 and you get a drink with that too! So not as expensive as if you order separately from the menu!
They bring you towels everyday, the only thing I struggled with it Diet Coke! You can't get it anywhere on site haha! It's all Pepsi!
There is a wine cooler fridge., all cooking stuff (take some oil) all utensils etc! You really don't need to take too much! But if anyone smokes buy before you get there, it's not too expensive in the supermarket on site, but it's not cheap either!
We got cocktails in the country club, £10 each!!!! And beer is about £4 a pint! We took loads of booze and snacks etc and so didn't mind buying the odd drink! Ditch pancake house is amazing too!! X

Oh and we got a few ready meals from Costco! X

We always take a sharp vegetable knife because the provides knives are always dangerously blunt

I always take hand wash for each bathroom, washing up liquid, dishwasher tabs, rinse aid (as they never top it up), two extra tea towels and some bin bags and a scourer. I've never had a blunt knife experience so you might get lucky with that.
