We have been twice to www.torridgehouse.co.uk/ with my Ds (2.5) and DD (7.5) and it was fantastic both times.
Barbra and Terry who own the farm are so friendly and welcoming, Sandy who 'does' the animals is really great with the children. My LO has SN and I can truthfully say I felt nothing but support and understanding from everyone there, he broke at least one egg every day at collecting time - not even a raised eyebrow!
This year before Easter we were bottle feeding lambs, collecting eggs, playing with mice, feeding and caring for rabbits, chicks, duckings, guinea pigs...
On the farm there is a library of games, books and over 1,000 videos/dvd's for free use. There is an indoor play area with a sandpit and toys.
Also it is set near the N. Devon coast where there are so many beautiful beaches and interesting things to do.
Tesco deliver there too, so my weekly shop arrived 1 hour after us - which made life much simpler!
A special treat for any frazzled Mum's is Marina Crocker, a local farmer's wife who is a highly qualified therapist who gives fabulous massages, aromatherapy and is a Reiki practicioner - her DD will babysit (one of many recommended) whilst you are pampered.
