Northumberland - seahouses and surrounding area?

We have decided to go away at the end of the month, short notice I know! It'll be myself, hubs and 2xchildren who are 6&4. Does anyone know of any self-catering accommodation that might be available in the northumberland area? We've had it recommended to us - the beaches look amazing so the closer to that, the better really. Any ideas much appreciated.

I would recommend Spring Hill farm - we stayed in the wigwams which were fun for a weekend but they also have self catering cottages. It is really close to the beach, it's really lovely up there.

Sorry, that was meant to be Farne House holiday Cottages.

Thanks for the recommendations, Seahouses seems to be quite popular and as this is a last min holiday, there isn't much availability. Does anyone have any other suggestions of destinations in Northumberland, preferably costal?

Try http://www.northumbria-cottages.co.uk - you can search for one with a sea view. Alnmouth, Amble, Bamburgh are all lovely and you might get a last minute bargain.

In fact here's one right at the harbour at Seahouses for the end of July for 4 for £800 @Lincolnite
