We are going to book our UK holiday shortly, all a bit last minute. Me, dh and two dc.
We usually go to a lovely 5* holiday apartment, all very luxurious and home from home. Beautiful beach on the doorstep, short scenic train into main town with beach/shops/restaurants, but generally we have to make our own fun with games on the beach, picnics, fish and chips by the sea, walks and day trips.
For roughly the same price we could take a chance on a butlins style holiday park, rent a caravan or go glamping, accommodation won't be anywhere near as luxurious, not as near to the beach, but there would be a pool with slides and lots of children's entertainment, shows, soft play, football, kids clubs, restaurant on site.
I know which I'd prefer but wondering if the latter would be better for the dc.
