Polurrian Bay or Fowey Hall

We are looking at booking one of these for a week at the end of August. Our DD will be 15 months but can’t avoid school holidays for various reasons. Want a classic Cornish break and to be able to relax, do nearby beaches and villages. Also want to enjoy the hotel facilities for little one to play.

Am leaving towards Polurrian as there’s a beach there and there isn’t with Fowey but would love opinions. Is an expensive break for us but we’ve had a really tough few months and so want to do something that will be possible for us to have some relax time (spa etc) and use the 2 hrs childcare a day to then have the energy to have amazing family days together. So any thoughts on which is better would be great!

Polurrian Hotel is in Mullion, not Polruan (which is opposite Fowey across the river).
Polurrian is lovely with an amazing beach, pool/spa facilities tired but hotel and location is lovely. Fowey Hall slightly improved facilities but less desirable location if you are keen for beach days, Fowey is a nice small town for a stroll. Polurrian is probably an hour further to your journey as it’s at the very bottom of Cornwall.

Have you looked at Bedruthan steps?

We hadn’t looked at Bedruthan no - we stayed at Moonfleet and enjoyed it so we’re looking at others in the same chain. Think maybe Polurrian will suit us better - hopefully it’ll be good for a toddler in school hols as well as bigger kids...
