Needed for this weekend! Fairly central, nice but inexpensive for me and 2 friends.

Anyone have any suggestions?

TIA

Ibis in Docklands?

I spent a night at base2stay a couple of weeks ago. Earls Court area and close to tubes. No bar or restaurant, but you get a fridge and microwave. www.base2stay.com/

There's also an Ibis on Commercial Street in the City. Also try the hotel at County Hall (v. central, under the London Eye). I think it's a Travel Inn.

If you can spare the time, might be worth looking at the archives. There have been lots of threads asking this same question, and they will contain some useful information.

Fwiw, can you consider changing your travel dates? Think alot of the affordable central London hotels are probably completely filled with people visiting London for the Chelsea Flower show.

Thanks all for your suggestions - ended up in the Covent Garden Travelodge for £63!!! Pretty good I think for central London! (Well it's a double and single split 3 ways)

Now to find the trendy places to eat and drink!!!

Wow, great price!
We booked the Ibis in the Docklands - also for this weekend - needed one room for 3 people (have DD with us). Was £70 in total.
