Done Covent Garden zillion times - are there any other interesting little areas good for mooching/lunching?

For a similar tourist vibe you could go to Borough market and enjoy the south bank, Southwark cathedral and the Golden Hinde.

South Bank
Duke of York Square by Sloane Square
Marylebone High St
Spittalfields Market
Primrose Hill
Hampstead
Borough Market
St Christopher's Place by Selfridges

Any particular interests? How central?

Marylebone high street and around there would be my choice, or Kensington.

Westbourne Grove

Belsize Park

Sorry they're not all central I posted too soon Blush but Angel is central. Lots of nice shops, very short walk to Upper Street, lovely residential streets with nice pubs nearby.

Hays Galleria is nice.

Take a walk from Westminster bridge along the south bank to borough market, plenty to see along the way and observe some great skyline views.
