Family friendly places to stay in Berkshire?

Hi everyone,
I wondered if anyone had any advice? I have a long journey to go on on my own, with my 3 children (3, 5 & 8) I'd like to break the journey up a bit (we're travelling west to east) by staying overnight somewhere family-friendly, not too expensive, and not too far from the M4. If they have a playground or park, my kids are happy! Any ideas anyone?

Novotel Reading is 3 miles from the M4. It has lots of family rooms and connecting rooms. There's a children's play area, video games in the lobby and a kids menu. There's also an indoor heated pool but if you're like me, you might forget to mention that to the kids!
