how old is your dd?

There is the beach at nairn, a soft playplace called bumbles play centre at Brodie, just past Nairn. There is Fort George, a national trust property which is/was an army barracks near to ardersier.
will you have a car with you?

we stayed at north kessock near inverness we saw lots of dolphins kids loved it

Fort George looks onto the moray firth, a popular place for the dolphins. If you're lucky you might be able to see dolphins from the walls there, we saw porpoises there.
If you have a car you can travel to the black isle to a place called chanonry point which is one of the best places to see them, its actually more or less directly across the water from fort george.
I live in this area, so if you have any more q's just ask. . I could even send you some of the touristy leaflets so you can plan your stay, if you like.
btw there is a lovely place called boath house and spa near to ardersier - might be nice for a special meal for the two of you, or a beauty treatment.
There are also some lovely parks and walks in Inverness.
