Off there on Friday and am planning to eat out only once with DC. Where would you recommend? Can be inside or outside the village.

wherever it is, book it. the last time I went which was last year luckily it was with 5 girlfriends rather than children that do need food! We couldn't eat ANYWHERE 2 nights running it was all full. So we went home and drank wine instead!
so it wasn't all bad .

recommendation for offsite, particular sunday lunch is
The Horse and Groom
East Woodlands, Frome, Somerset, BA11 5LY

its a little drive from CP but no more than 5miles towards frome. had many meals there when staying in the village. it has a beer garden with enough space for dcs but take a couple of toys to keep them entertained. last went 2yrs ago and they served evening weekday and all weekend. a re very busy, so pre-book. also there's likely to be cream teas in the village on a sunday.

Not gourmet food but more than suitable (texmex type food)is the restaurant inside the domed complex centre, to the left hand side, primarily because it has a soft play place attached, a small enclosed area for toddlers and a larger multi-storey wooden structure for older kids, so we let ours play after eating whilst we finished at a more leisurely pace and had an extra glass of wine

Furball · 14/05/2007 21:49

agree with the texmex but book it asap

Ok thanks. Can't do Sunday lunch as we're going to Longleat Animal Park but will try out the texmex place. Is it called Huckleberrys?
