Luxury night away south east

We have a rare child free night .. may be able to wangle 2.. grandparents have agreed to babysit for dh birthday!

Fancy a posh hotel. We are in Surrey so don't want to go too far.

Dh would love to go to the Merseyside derby but I don't know where I would get tickets from and don't fancy the trek to Liverpool

Where could we go? Recommendations within an hour of Surrey .. London .. south coast appreciated!

If you like a spa, I would recommend Alexander House which is near East Grinstead so not too far from you.

Good taste alike

I love the Gallivant too, but quite a long drive, although worth it for the stunning beach. Great restaurant too!

For a blow out, the Four Seasons in Hampshire.

Wingrove House, Alfriston is nice. Pretty village and lovely countryside.

Amberley Castle in Arundel.

The George in Rye.

Stanwell House in Lymington.

Pennyhill Park (excellent spa but maybe a bit too close for you)

Chewton Glen in the New Forest. V posh. Could possibly do it in an hour depending on where you are in Surrey.
