Places to visit in Scotland near Berwick-upon-Tweed

Planning a weekend in Berwick-upon-Tweed Northumberland soon, can anyone recommend somewhere nice to visit in Scotland? Lots planned for Northumberland but would like to visit somewhere close by but in Scotland.

Anyone got any suggestions?

What sort of things do you like OP? Berwick perfect area for Northumberland and Scotland.

Plenty regular trains into Edinburgh centre from Berwick, loads to do there, castle, dynamic earth and camera obscura is popular just now.

East links farm park is just up the a1 at Dunbar and is good for younger kids, good pool in Dunbar as well.

You are about half an hour from the borders, so could do a tour of anywhere really. Kelso, Melrose, jedburgh all have abbeys and things going on. When are you going? All the border towns have summer festivals, Berwick is actually over 1st may.

Although I would just stay on the beach. . We are heading to beadnell today for a couple of nights, love it there.
