Hi I am searching for someone to spend our 40th wedding a/v in Sept and would like to invite family to join us. Ideally Norfolk/Suffolk sort of area as my dh finds long car trip too much now, he has Parkinsons. Would love to find somewhere in a small town or village within walking distance to nice pubs, teashops etc. We have stayed several times in Thorpeness in Suffolk which is perfect but a change would be nice. By a river would also be good, any ideas most welcome. Thank you.

have you tried Sykes cottages? I think they used to be called cottages4you. We've had some lovely family holidays through there.

www.cottages.com

I initially found them through an ad on mums net about ten years ago.

Try looking on English Country Cottages. We've rented through them several times and had good experiences. If you search by map then a detailed search will come up which allows you to put in the number of bedrooms and features like a games room.

have a look at groupaccommodation.com and bigholidayhouse.com websites they should let you search by date. they specialise in larger properties or groups of properties and we have always found them to be really good websites with plenty of choice in different price bands.

This prompted to book a house for my siginifcant birthday next year, but the one I have had my eye on for the last ten years I have just discovered does not accept dogs. WTAF!!!!

I have however found another fabulous place that sleeps 16, but it is on the Ilse of Anglesey so I presume you would not be interested?

There's a CP in Suffolk that's pretty flat. It would be quiet in September as school holidays. Probably cheaper too! The treehouses have games room and obviously you can stay on site or travel offsite

Have a look at Incleborough House. Beautiful large house in Norfolk between Cromer and Sheringham. Expensive but you get what you pay for.

Hi sorry been awol for a while. We have been to Center Parks at Elvedon several times over the years, we love it but it’s too expensive to go for a week. I have seen a couple of lovely homes around Thorpeness area again but sadly not available on one and no reply from the other! Really can not afford more than £800 for a week so on larger properties that proving difficult within the area we want to go. Thank you all for your help so far.
