Right, so I have seen a lot of articles recently about the rise in Staycations over the past few years and I wondered what everyone else take was on this? I personally have loved holidaying in the UK, we have some amazing places to visit and if you get good weather it can be a fantastic short break or family holiday. As a family we love cycling and hiking so tend to visit places like the Lake District, Northumberland and Yorkshire with plenty of local attractions nearby to keep the kids occupied.

When thinking about holidaying in the UK, what type of places or accommodation do you look for? Static Caravans? Camping? Glamping? Or do you go a little more upmarket in a nice Lodge?

You can get some cracking deals if you look around, and I think we should promote the UK as a place to stay more as we do have great coastlines and countryside to choose from.

If anyone is considering a staycation, we have found sites like Lodges4U.com, Kielder Waterside, Forest Holidays, and Lake District Holiday's all good sites.
