Just booked a chalet at Crieff Hydro....

great deal only £50 a night for a chalet. Anyone else been, what's to recommended in the area and avoided?

Sorry to disagree with the general theme, but when we stayed there it was gross. The room was in serious need of a good clean and the food was rubbish. We only stayed one night - but the area is lovely...

we're talking about the chalets, ski - were you in a chalet?

No, we were in one of the rooms - service/maintenance may be better in the chalets?

A couple of years ago, again it may have changed since then, but I can honestly say it was one of the worst hotels I've ever stayed in

skibump - thery are gradually doing it up and have spent more than 1.5 million in the past year doing so. Some bits are quite tired but still nice - I'm beginning to think I may have had rose tint specs on due to being new Mum!!! We enjoyed it anyway

No, I'm pleased other people haven't had the same experience as we did, so hopefully Lilliput's stay will be fab as well

don't take the lotion and soap! they might ask for it back .
