Lovely hotel in London that won't mind a baby - for our wedding night

Does anyone know of any boutique-ish hotels that can cope with a six month old? DP and I getting married in July and I don't want to come back to the mess that will be our flat after our big day. Did think about leaving DS with a granny, but I think he will be very keyed up by then. Don't want to go somewhere stuffy where we will constantly worry about every move - does a chilled out family friendly hotel exist in London?

Most will accept a baby/cot but I would really really advise trying to leave your ds with your mother and having a lovely wedding night. Or two, it's SO much nicer getting up knowing you've got another whole night and day together. I got married first time when ds was 3 months old and mil had him overnight.

One Aldwych is fantastic, I would really recommend it, great service, very stylish. The Great Eastern is fab if you like The City at the weekend, which I do, we got a £500 a night suite for £117 on a Sat night.

Also in the City, I like the look of Threadneedles, ditto re cheap weekend rates. My sister liked Malmaison in Clerkenwell when she stayed there last year. V quiet despite location.

Otherwise if I were you I'd look at
The Zetter in Clerkenwell or
K west (altohugh location not great looks like Shepherds Bush on the map)

And make sure whatever you do you book on laterooms.com and check tripadvisor before you go if you want traveller pictures.

Leave with granny!

If granny can't cope then a receptionist won't be much use

catnip, I'd leave your ds with granny

OH you just mean a hotel where you can all make a noise?

Lots of hotels have soundproofed rooms - do a search for that.

I love One Aldwych, have never stayed there, but did work related things and it is fantastic - just worried about pissing people off with the LO. Threadneeds looks luvverly. It is really sound proofing that we're after, will be stressed if I think crying is annoying people, ds is an easy baby, but you never know. Unfortunately I dont think the granny thing is an option anymore, it was my mum who said you shd take him, he'll be overexcited, and mil a bit too elderly to cope with a tiny babe
