Ideas for North Wales with 5 yr old Easter hols

I'd looked at Haven but reviews on trip advisor put me off. We usually go down to Pembrokeshire it the drive is a killer. Any thoughts on north Wales? Glamping perhaps? Or nice little town quite flexible really, looking for a balance of not too busy but activities for 5yr old TIA

I wouldn't camp at Easter - end of march wont be warm and probably not dry either. Porthmadog is a lovely little town within easy reach of lots of things to do. it will be very weather dependent though.

we always enjoy the CAT and King Arthurs labyrinth plus lots of mines and indoor things at this time of year.

Although when I said camping I kind of meant in a static with central heating Grin I'm a bit of a wimp. Thanks I'll check that out xx

Greenwood Forest Park is an excellent day out. There is a static caravan site called Greenacre near Porthmadog I'm not sure if it's Haven or not though.

Zip world, Bounce Below and Greenfields are all good for a day out. And you have all the beautiful local castles too, Caernarfon, Conwy, Boddlewyddan and many more. You can easily spend a few days exploring Anglesey too. Then you have Snowdonia National Park. Absolutely stunning.

North Wales is often overlooked, but it really is an amazing (but wet and cold) place.

Greenwood, not Greenfields Blush

Abersoch is gorgeous even if just for a day visit.

Bryn Teg caravan Park in Llanrug is lush!! Spa, lake, pub nearby. Half way between Llanberis and Caernarfon. Perfect location.

And its 10 mins drive from Greenwood

Have a look at www.michaelpaulholidays.co.uk they have some lovely properties in North Wales at Nefyn Bay. Much better than camping :)
