Don't mind if it is a b and b or hotel.

Would like bags of charm. Things to do for the kids would be a bonus.

Somewhere that the kids will remember

Ta!

We go to Aviemore every year, stay in \link{http://www.silverglades.co.uk/silverglades}. It's self catering, little chalets, the 'Cairngorm' lodges have log fires, saunas. Membership of Dalfaber country club available for about 20 pounds more. Steam train chuffs past the lodges. Short walk along the river into the village (5 mins) - also along the railway line. Fab views of the mountains. Ski road up to Cairngorm at other end of the village. Walks to Boat of Garten from lodges. And they are SO friendly, I recommend them to everyone because they are so lovely there.

Never stayed there, but walk past it a lot and it looks nice

How old are your children? There is a small playarea but it is also right beside a pinewood so if they are big enough they could go and explore

Btw when I say I walk past it, I mean on a path through the woods, not along the main road or anything like that

The Coylumbridge is popular with families and has a fantastic setting, a bit away from the slighty tacky main street.

ceolas · 29/03/2007 23:19

My SiL loves Coylumbridge.

Can be busy during school holidays though
