Suffolk holiday - Orford or Walberswick?

We're looking for a nice village location, so that we can walk to shops/pub etc and also be close to the coast.
Any advice about whether Orford or Walberswick would be better for a holiday with young children (5, 3 and 6 months)?
Happy to hear any other recommendations too.

Walberswick.

Close to the beach, take the kids crabbing. Pop along to Southwold for a day out. Near access to the A12 if you want to venture further.

Orford is also beautiful but more out on a limb.

But make sure you visit Orford too, for the castle and Pinney's smokery. The Jolly Sailor has a large garden.

Orford is lovely and relaxed for grown ups but there's very little there and no proper sea views due to the Ness. I'd pick Walberswick for proximity to Southwold which is a lovely gentle resort for small children.

Definitely Walberswick

Walberswick and get the foot ferry over to Southwold.
