What's the nearest airport to Alton Towers?

Just that, really. We'll be flying from Dublin. Alternatively, we could sail & rail. All native information appreciated!

East Midlands, Manchester and Birmingham all similar times (45mins to an hour drive)

East midlands is probably the closest

It's in between East Midlands and Manchester.

Its easier to get to Alton Towers from East Midlands though as you just get on the A50 pretty much outside the airport and that takes you straight into Uttoxeter without negotiating any other roads then 10 mins to Alton Towers from there.
