My dc are due to spend tomorrow at Longridge Activity Centre, but the weather forecast is dreadful! What will they be doing if its tipping down all day?

Is longridge not mostly a water sports centre? You get wet doing water sports so it doesn't make much difference if it's river water or rain water! Flask of hot drink and warm clothes helps the recovery!

I think there are a lot of land-based climbing-type activities. When my eldest went with Scouts it was all about climbing helmets and harnesses, and I remember them excitedly telling me about Jacob's Ladder, a High Ropes course, a massive swing (tho that might have been a different centre) etc.

We haven't been told to pack wet gear, nor asked about swimming ability, so assumed they're doing the land-based activities. I shall check with the holiday club at drop-off today.
