Gullivers or Alton towers - summer holidays?

We are doing a two week holiday in Scotland and wanting a break on the way down with 2yr and 4yr children.

The difference is cost is minimal?

Any suggestions on which to choose? A bit worried about massive queues at Alton towers?

Which would you choose and why?

My DC have loved Alton Towers when we've been before, never been to Gullivers - queues could be an issue though.

2YO and 4YO?
Where are you travelling to?

Gullivers very much for that age group.....if it's not too far east for you I'd very strongly recommend Sundown Adventure Land near Grantham also.

With such young DC I wouldn't go to Alton Towers - it's not aimed at toddlers/pre-schoolers and it's really expensive to get in. Gulliver's Land is perfect for that age group.

OP: how did you make them similar in price? the online prices, even with your 2YO getting in free, is still over £90 for Alton Towers.

Gulliver's is way better for that age group.

Agree Alton Towers is expensive but they have CBeebies Land for little ones and Splash Landings Waterpark which is fab and good if weather not brilliant.

Alton Towers all the way. Stay at the Premier Inn in Leek for a cheaper stay than their hotels. Went to a Gullivers last year...too many wasps...

i wouldn't recommend alton towers, we went last friday with my 3 year old DD. nearly all the rides in cbeebies land were 40 mins plus queue time which was just way too long for my daughter. gullivers is dated but better for your age range i think.
