Family of 4 2 adults 2 kids. Just done flights / car hire / accommodation and it's 2k+! So we priced up ferry / accommodation and it's still 1 1/2 k!
We're tied to 22/07 so not much room to manoeuvre. Have looked at Cornwall too but it's an 8+ hour drive ........ideas welcome! ( Yes I know we should have started looking ages ago....,,) Tia

Dumfries and Galloway has awesome beaches and lovely forest parks. It's less touristy than some better know places, and tends to be a bit cheaper.
