will bump this for you and keep an eye on this thread - always fancied going there!

when are you going?

sounds lovely!

ChippyMinton · 20/03/2007 07:43

Tenby (not been for years but it is trad resort and close to Pembroke)

belgo · 20/03/2007 07:46

What about Pendine Sands - my parents went there last year and said it's really nice

caroline3 · 20/03/2007 10:57

Saundersfoot is very nice. Tenby is bigger but has got a fantastic beach. Good old fashioned sea side resort. Don't go to the Haven site in Tenby however as it is very crowded and dirty.

WelshBoris · 20/03/2007 20:24

This is nearer to me

Tenby, or Pendine.

Both lovely places to stay, near some lovely beaches.

And near Folly Farm here

Oakwood Park may be a bit too old for your children here

Will you be staying in a hotel or caravan park? Or something else?

Blandmum · 20/03/2007 20:25

Tenby is fab.

MamaG · 20/03/2007 20:26

I LOVE Wales.

I'd like to know of a good camping place, quite remote, can have campfires etc near a beach...anything?!

stleger · 20/03/2007 20:43

Carew Castle is good if you like ruins, sheep and a walk! (I do).

FrayedKnot · 20/03/2007 20:46

Little Haven is lovely.

OldieMum · 20/03/2007 21:00

Broad Haven has a beautiful, huge beach. Nearby is the Druidstone Hotel - great meals and a friendly, relaxed atmosphere (in fact, such a wonderful, child-friendly, relaxed place that I hesitate to mention it on MN, for fear of never being able to get a room there). Also a good beach at Whitesands Bay, near St Davids (the smallest cathedral city in Britain and well worth a visit).

Makes me long to go there. Luckily I shall be soon, as we've booked a cottage near Solva (pretty harbour, near St Davids) this summer.

Rhubarb · 20/03/2007 21:01

Don't listen to WelshBoris, she's not even Welsh!

MadamePlatypus · 20/03/2007 21:02

Be quiet Oldiemum, ssssh!!!!!!! Everything she was saying was all made up, none of these places exist!

WelshBoris · 20/03/2007 21:02

Call me a bragging smug tastic member of the food police but NEVER question the Welshness of my blood.

How very dare you

Rhubarb · 20/03/2007 21:03

She hates leeks too and wouldn't know a dragon if it bit her head off!

Rhubarb · 20/03/2007 21:03

Oh hello WB! Just talking about you!

WelshBoris · 20/03/2007 21:06
