Hello. We would like to go for a week/10 days to Scotland in August with a 12 year old and 7 year old but have absolutely no idea where to go/what to see! Any ideas/must sees? Thanks.

West is best! Head over to Ullapool and the west coast, really beautiful and stunning beaches.

I second Ullapool. Gorgeous, was there last week. You might not want to come back though Hmm

It all depends how far you want to travel and what you want to do. Aviemore is a good centre- lots to do for these ages. Ullapool and further north from there is beautiful scenery and lovely beaches but if it rains (and it is Scotland!) then there's not much to do. Also midges can be horrendous.
