Booking travelodge

I'm trying to book a night in London for next March and was going to go for travelodge as we paid £75 around the same time this year.

This week is the first time the dates have been available to book, but the cheapest price is £110!

Last time I booked a couple of months in advance. Is it worth holding on in the prices go down?

Have you considered Premier Inn, rather than Travelodge? With Premier Inn you can pay up front or take the slightly more expensive but flexible option - by doing this you get free cancellation and dont need to pay until the day. I can highly recommended County Hall

If you are looking for budget accommodation there is a youth hostel in Earl's Court. Or just have s look on booking.com as many places will let you book now but pay on arrival. With travelodge it rarely gets cheaper the closer to your date.

I doubt the costs will come down as they usually go up but you can cancel up to the day of booking, so just book them now and cancel if you find something cheaper.

Another shout here for Premier Inn. So much nicer than Travelodge and like pp said you can cancel up to 1pm on day if you choose the bnpl option.

Thanks all!
There's about £50 difference between Premier Inn and travelodge ( I prefer premier inn too). We need a family room and I need a fairly decent night, so not sure about the youth hostel this time.
Looks like I'm going to have to bite the bullet and pay one way or another Smile
