can I fly to Gatwick from Glasgow without a passport??

passport ran out ages ago and since we can't afford to go abroad didn't renew it.

can we fly in this country?

Yes but only if you have another form of photo ID such as a photo driving license.

even if you don't need a passport you may need photo id eg driving licence.

yep, I ve done it with a drivers license. however, I would always ring in advance and tell them....Ive seen too many episodes of Airport to trust them not to change their minds at the last minute.
