Aug holiday with 19 yr olds where?

Hi for some reason they still want to go away with us! Would like to go abroad but really cant afford it. Army son home for 3 weeks in Aug so would like 7-10 days away. They are not into rowdy nightlife but do like to go to the pub! Both like freshwater fishing, so a lodge with its own fishing lakes, a hot tub for me but within walking distance of a nice town or beach resort for takeaways, fish n chips, nice coffee shops, and nice quaint shops for me to browse in. We are in Kent, so prob no more than about a 4 hour drive. Thank you.

Took ours to Hay on Wye last year and they loved it so much we're going back tomorrow. Right on the river Wye and you can buy fishing permits in the town I think. Lovely little shops and coffee shops and pubs.

Not forgetting the bookshops.

I agree with Hay. If not, maybe somewhere in Suffolk?

what about somewhere like Hayling Island or around the new forest area.

Yes I was thinking about the New Forest, just keeping them occupied, my Army son gets very fidgety!
