Having lived overseas for 4 years, I am determined to make more of living in the UK and do things/ visit places we should probably see. What are the things we shouldn't miss?

With our return fast approaching, I could do with making a few plans which will make relocating a little more bearable.

So, toddler-friendly activities, day visits, weekend breaks or longer holdiays, anywhere in the UK, please!

Really? It's that good?

Ok, I'll start:

  • Bournemouth, the pier, the beach, walking along the front to Boscombe & getting train thingy back

  • Whipsnade Zoo

  • North Norfolk Coast for a few days

  • Whitby & Robinhood's bay

Anyone else?

Zoos - Paignton Zoo in Devon, Howletts in Kent, Longleat safari park

The Lake District - lots for kids to do and perfect for adults to star forever at awesome views. Boat trips on the lakes, sticky toffee pudding, Beatrix Potter...

Cornwall- the lost gardens of heligan, the eden project, the beaches.
