Uk weekend break for a couple in summer any ideas?

Looking to have a couple of nights away in June for my partners birthday and before our baby is born anyone any ideas? Nice places to go/places to stay

Live in Merseyside don't mind a long drive away

we do enjoy going to se cornwall and if you go in June the Cornwall show is on which is a brilliant whole day out affair. we stay HERE as its a good base for exploring cornwall and devon.

whitby and robin hoods bay?

Peak District might be good - nice towns to visit, beautiful countryside, & several stately homes if you like that sort of thing. Not too far either.
