K West hotel in W14, nice? Or any other suggestions for couple of days in London with my boy (ds not dh!)

I am taking ds to London for a couple of days just the 2 of us over easter and we want to stay in a hotel. We could stay with ex dh or mil but the point is to have some time with just the 2 of us and ds wants to stay in a hotel so we are going to.

I like the look of K West and I can prob get rooms at £150/night ish which is about my budget. Does anyone know it and is it nice or can you recommend anywhere else? I want:

A decent sized room. We will be out a lot but will still have to spend some time in it in the evenings, after 9ish
Playstation 2 for him
wifi/broadband for me
double or twin is ok
cool ish so ds feels he's been somewhere special, so nothing below v good 4 star (dahling!)
Don't mind too much re location but must be with zone 1 or 2

I've been there for drinks but not stayed (though my friend did)

when we were there it was full of trendy music types and some famous bands (who had to be pointed out to me )

it's a very swish hotel
