Having an absolute mare finding a cottage in Northumberland this August. All the suitable ones seem to have gone, like this one www.gracedarlingholidays.com/cottages/isobel/

I've tried most companies such as Hoseasons, Cottages4you, Northumbria, Coquet. Any suggestions where else I can try. Have I really left it too late???

Try googling self catering and the places you're interested in? Try Airbnb?

West Ord Cottages, near Berwick, or Composers at Woodlands?

Don't forget lovely south Northumberland! Hadrian's Wall, Newcastle, near the Lakes Smile
Not companies but lovely cottages at www.grindonfarm.co.uk/
There's also this www.highbroadwoodhallcottages.co.uk/ in Allendale which is in the Pennines and is just amazing (no bias here, honest...)

Edit, Newcastle is nearby is what it's meant to say

Any of you know Ellingham? Googled Newton by the Sea (thanks Myrtle) and found a nice cottage in this nearby village. Appears there's just a pub Grin but no mention of shops or any other amenities. Anyone know what it's like?
