4 night break in august with 2 kids

I'm looking to go somewhere in august from a Wednesday to a Sunday in the Uk.
Because of the days it means we can do any of the regular park.
I would prefer not the north west or Scotland and further south but not the south coast.
On a budget.
Does anyone have any recommendations?

We went to North Norfolk a few years ago for a long weekend, was wonderful. Stayed in a nice pub that did BB and had a family room with a bunk bed.

its going to have to be a b and b or small hotel OP because a self catering place isn't going to be willing to do a short break in august especially when it in effect cuts across two weeks.

you could wing it and do a last minute search. what sort of budget do you have?

We stayed here a couple of years ago , could rent for part of a week. Cottages themselves are country side but great location for Longleat and Bath. They had discounted tickets for Longleat too.
