Christmassy things to do in London next weekend!

Hi all,

Title says it all really. We've been to London a couple of times now with DC but not at Christmas and I've never been myself at Christmas. What shouldn't we miss and what should we miss??

South bank market, ice skating Somerset house, Covent Garden.

Christmas at Kew Gardens is lovely.

A wander down Regents st to see the lights is a must if you've never done it before, be sure to include Carnaby St and also New Bond st etc on the other side of regent st. Go all the way down to Trafalgar Square to see the tree and maybe catch some carol singing.

Covent Garden is always lovely and Christmassy too.

Also-would never normally suggest it but Leicester Square is actually quite pleasant with the Christmas market and big wheel!

I think going on the Eye is really great in the evening - it is dark fairly early! Agree that Covent Garden is great and lots of places to eat nearby. I am not sure when you are coming, but both the English National Ballet and the Royal Opera House are doing The Nutcracker. The Snowman is on as well I think. You could have a look at Time Out and various other web sites to see what special events are on when you are there which may be of interest. Museums may well have special events for Christmas as well.
