Anyone been to Pontins' Camber Sands park?

Am going here in the summer holidays. They are so cheap plus, they have a discount of 50% on some of the holidays at the moment so i threw caution to the wind and booked it!

Have no idea what its like though - anyone been there before?

my stepFIL works there as maintenance

on the positive side he said they have just installed new cookers!

we went there with one of the sun deals last year in october school holidays.my two age 10 and 8 loved it. tbh for me its a bit to holiday camp .but it was only 9.50 each.i would have spent more money on them at home.

No but ive booked in aswell for this year coz it was so cheap.
Its right next to a loveeeeellly beach, so take some kites and buckets etc....
Another mumsnetter said yesterday it was fine. She was there last year.

Chopin, have not been to the holiday park, but can say that Camber Sands itself is fab. I spent many happy days there. Yes it gets crowded but I love it - dh and I went just before dcs and saw a horse and trap type thing running around when the tide had gone out.

what is the beach like? is it sandy or pebbly?

it's a sandy beach. Only been there the once on a day trip. I've booked it for the first week in april, through Sun Holidays. Just a bit wary now tho as have not read many good review on it. Still fingers crossed it's ok. I booked it before reading the reviews!!

oops forgot to say, the one we are going to is Park resorts not Pontins tho.
