We went on holiday to the Isle of Wight last year and a had great time. We're going back to the same place this year and at the moment they have availability during Cowes Week. Would you go during Cowes Week - how much busier is it? Would we be stuck in endless traffic jams? We will be staying near Ventnor. TIA.

Cowes is incredibly busy during Cowes week, but most people aren't driving around so traffic is not such an issue. Drunken yachties are much more of an issue!

Most of the thousands of people who go for Cowes Week never leave Cowes (except by boat) so the rest of the island shouldn't be much busier than usual.

Agree with the others- its fine outside Cowes. We go to St Helens (Nodes POint) so there's no problems at all. Except for the ferry ride in which can be interesting (WHY can't idiots on a small boat not realise if they hit the ferry, it'll be them that loses???)
