Just wanted to add to this one. We are going for first time at end of March. Waht activities do people recommend as well as what to take.

Only been to Sherwood, but if that's anything to go by I'd definitely take your own food as it was expensive and very poor quality.
Other than that it's a great holiday, enjoy

When you go to the supermarket on site, plan to do one big shop at the start. We found (at Nottingham) that if you spend over £40 (I think that was the figure) then they deliver it to your chalet, and unpack the shopping for you too, for free, putting all the stuff in the fridge/cupboards etc.

We went with dss aged 1 and 4. They spent hours on the playground and on the beach by the lake, when we weren't swimming. We did very few planned activities, and just enjoyed the wildlife.

We're off to Sherwood on Friday and have been to both Sherwood and Oasis before. So I'll pick a few from my list here beside me.....torches for walking back at night, warm clothes and plenty of changes of clothes, books/games/ colouring in stuff to keep dds occupied when out eating or in your 'chalet', dishwasher tablets, washing up liquid, snacks and something for a quick lunch/dinner in your chalet (pasta type meal), wine for you on an evening.
IIRC there have been quite a few threads on this - if you do a search you should find a few more tips...enjoy!

Thanks all. I'll let you know how we get on.
