Teen Birthday Party - Food

Hello.
My DD is having her 16th birthday party soon. About 45 people have been invited and the party starts at 7. Because of this, I will be providing food later on in the night (around 9ish) but not any beforehand? Is this okay? Would you expect there to be food all night if you attended a party?

Thanks for your help

I would line their stomachs as much as possible and as early as possible - but then I'm assuming there will be alcohol.

There will be alcohol but it's bring your own bottles (although my DD is making some jellys shots and watermelon vodka for her friends)

In that case I'd go for food earlier than 9 - two hours of drinking on an empty stomach will not end happily for your average 16 year old.

Oh god deffo food earlier if they're drinking!
You're gonna have dozens of pissed up teenagers being sick Grin

I would do a buffet and leave it out so that they can pick at it through the night, maybe stick a few pizzas in the oven later
