Looking for holidays (probably in a holiday park such as Hoseasons) for October half term within an hours drive of the NEC. It's for family travelling from two ends of the country so whilst we'd like to be able to go to the NEC, aside from that we're flexible on location. Any suggestions? 4 adults and 2 children and would prefer to be in something bigger than a static caravan, although a lodge would be fine....

I'm fairly sure there is a holiday park near Stratford. If not then try Rutland or Shropshire, both an hour (maybe slightly more but not much) from NEC and both beautiful counties.

The lodges at this Hoseasons are lovely and have hot tubs on decking looking over a river which was great when we went in winter. It's towards Burton on Trent. Not a lot actually on site though, you will need to drive for kids activities (other than a playpark) shops/eating out etc.
