D of E type stuff

IS there a course which does navigation/map skills, walking, fun in outdoors stuff aimed at dads and daughters anywhere? Am thinking of the perfect present for Dh and DD (15), which would prepare a bit for D of E and give them some brilliant memories together...ideas welcomed.

YHA? Look for orienteering type activities.

Orienteering events or there may be fixed orienteering courses near you where you buy the map for a couple quid and can go round - maybe buy them a map compass?
