water sports for 7 year old North Wales

Hi, we're staying near Betws-y-Coed . Anyone know of rafting or other water sports we could do with a 7 year old? i've looked at lots of sites and most start at 12 years old.

Surf snowdonia from 5 yrs

You can hire a canoe on Llyn Tegid(Bala Lake) which is about half an hour awayfrom Betws at any age.The 12yo limit applies to the white water rafting on the river. balawatersports.com/index.php/frequently-asked-questions.

Canoes / Kayaks could also be hired on Llyn Vyrnwy (which is another half hour the far side of Bala but quite a nice drive ) lake-vyrnwy.com/category.html.
If you make it that far the falls at Llanrhaeadr ym Mochnant are quite close and worth a diversion, especially if its been raining.www.pistyllrhaeadr.co.uk
